Take a break from the holiday bustle and celebrate the shortest day of the year. The Ecology Center's annual Winter Solstice ChiliFest takes place Friday, December 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd.
Warm up the body and refresh the soul at this family evening, which includes a warm chili dinner (vegetarian option available) and lots of games and crafts that celebrate the coming solstice. The cost is $6 per person and registration is required; call 847-448-8256.
